To understand the types of discrimination that youth experience in Hamilton.
Are you passionate about creating safe and inclusive spaces? Do you want to help make a positive impact on your community? This study is to understand the types of discrimination that youth experience in Hamilton, how this impacts their mental health, and strategies that can be used to prevent these impacts.
To be eligible, you must:
- Be 16-24 years old
- Live in Hamilton, Ontario
- Be able to participate in virtual or in-person research activities
What will you be asked to do:
- Attend three, 2-hour focus groups over 3-4 months.
- Discuss where young people experience discrimination, how this impacts them, and how they cope with these experiences.
- Participate in creative activities.
Participants will be compensated $50 per focus group. Food and transportation will be provided.
