Perspectives on Cultural Sustainability in and through community-based recreational sport.
This project is to study how parents of newcomer youth (13-18 years old) understand their children's participation in recreational sport programs in the community. This study seeks to understand how such experiences contribute to positive youth development and ability to preserve their cultures within the Canada's multicultural society.
You will be requested to participate in both a focus group and an individual interview. The focus group interviews will be conducted via Zoom at your most convenient time, will last 120 minutes and will be video recorded for transcription. An individual interview will be conducted via your preferred online meeting platform for 30 to 60 minutes.
This study has been reviewed and cleared by the McMaster Research Ethics Board.
