Join a study to take part in a supervised resistance training program.
McMaster University is looking for volunteers to take part in a 10-week, supervised resistance exercise intervention study to understand how the blood vessels in the body and brain change throughout resistance exercise training and when training stops. Along with three weekly exercise classes, you will be asked to participate in one lab visit per week:
Visit One: Screening, vascular measures, fitness testing, and body composition (1 hour)
Visits Three-Eleven, Thirteen: Measure brain blood flow during resistance exercise (1 hour)
Visits Two, Twelve, Fourteen: Vascular measures, and measure brain blood flow during resistance exercise (2 hours)
Eligibility:
- Female, ages 18-35
- Free of any disease, health condition, or injury that affects the vascular system or the capacity to perform resistance exercise
- Not taking any supplements banned by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES)
You will be compensated for your time.
