Join professional storytellers to research, create, and share your personal stories of our city.
Stories from Hamilton is a community arts project that brings professional storytellers to Hamilton neighbourhoods to teach residents how to research, create and share their own personal stories together with historical tales of our city.
Five weekly workshops feature Introduction to Storytelling, Combining Fact and Fiction, Story and Song, Crafting a Story, and Performing Your Story. Workshops culminate with StoryJam, when attendees share the stories created throughout the workshop process. The workshops are made available through Centre for Community Engaged Narrative Arts (CCENA). Presented by Multidisciplinary Artist Lisa Pijuan-Nomura.
