Watch the Enerals Griffin Story, the pilot episode of the Canadian television program Ancestors in the Attic. This episode focuses on the late Dave Lawson, a descendant of Enerals and Priscilla Griffin who purchased Griffin House in Ancaster in 1834 after escaping slavery in the U.S.  The Griffins were some of the first Black Settlers in the area, and the site remains an important part of Black history in Canada offering tours about the Underground Railroad. Access to the pilot episode on YouTube from 9 a.m. Wed. Feb. 24 to 11 p.m. Sun. Feb. 28. Presented by Reader's Digest Canada and Griffin House National Historic Site.
