Listen to live music at Valley Park.

This week the Peter Banting Swingtet performs live at the Valley Park Branch to celebrate the holiday season. This eight-piece band has played Broadway tunes and big band music for 25 years in Hamilton and area. The musicians are: John Stephen on guitar, vocals and MC; Dr. Peter Banting, leader, on alto saxophone; Jeff Goodall on tenor saxophone; Urmas Soomet on stand-up bass; James Locke on drums; Dr. Ruth St. Amand and David Crown on trumpets; and Keith Kindree on trombone.

About the library

A newly built, 12,000-square-foot Valley Park Branch opened May 5, 2022. Now four-times the size of its 30-year-old predecessor, it features a Makerspace, an interior courtyard, three quiet study rooms and two 1,500 square-foot rooms for library programming.
