Explore the art of portraiture.
This drop-in program invites participants to explore the fundamentals and creative potential of portraiture, drawing or creating representations of people. Whether working from observation, memory, or imagination, participants will practice looking closely and expressing personality, mood and form through line, shape and colour.
No artistic experience is required, just curiosity and a willingness to look closely and express creatively.
The Ancaster Branch first opened in 1955. The branch moved several times over the following decade. The library arrived at its current location on Wilson Street in 1967 as a Centennial project. Completely renovated in 2006, the branch offers materials and programming for children, teens and adults.
